About

I am an independent and freelance media producer currently living in Somerville, MA.  I have been in the Boston area since earning my Masters in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College.  I was born and raised in Vermont and both sides of my family have been in Vermont for as long as anyone can remember.  My last film, I love children, but . . . , was screened at the Boston International Film Festival.  Previously a documentary I co-produced about phosphorus pollution in the Mystic River Watershed screened at the Boston Museum of Science.  Before starting graduate school I produced regional news for KRZA community radio in Alamosa, CO.  I have a B.A. in Media and Cultural Studies from Macalester College.

In addition to being an independent filmmaker, I work as a freelance producer, editor and videographer.  My freelance experience includes filming weddings and dance performances, editing corporate videos, and producing short news pieces for a local website.

I am currently Associate Producing The Carlos Arredondo Project, an independent documentary which received a grant from the Massachusetts Foundation for Humanities.  This film tells the story of a Costa Rican immigrant whose son died fighting as a Marine in Iraq and chronicles the father’s transformation from a grief stricken parent into an influential, if unorthodox, peace activist.
